Getting There

It took about 24 hours in total for me to finally get over to Korea. Because of a typhoon that was hitting Seoul, there were quite a few cancellations and delays in my flight's. I took 3 flights in total, and the longest one was from LA to Seoul which was about 12 hours. The service on Asiana airlines was fantastic and it was so neat to see and hear everything in English and Korean! Every announcement, every magazine, even the Sprite can I got was in Korean on one side! I was so excited about that!

Once I arrived there was a driver waiting for me with a sign which said my name when I came out of the baggage claim. There was quite a bit of wind and rain happening outside because the typhoon was still happening, but too be honest it wasn't too bad. We had to take the long way to Seoul from the Incheon airport (to my apartment) because roads were closed because of the storm, so the drive took almost 2 hours. But once I got here, I was ready to crash! The driver had no answers for me as to what my week would look like, or when my roommate would arrive (as I was the only one in the apartment), all he knew was that I began work the next day. He knocked on the teachers apartment door next to mine and said "You walk her to work tomorrow?" and she said "Sure, see you at 9:20?" It was at that moment I realized I need to have a 'go with the flow attitude' while I'm here because I never quite know whats happening next and no one ever really bothers to tell me! So I was here, exhausted, but my adventure had begun!
