Invasion

There are a ton of movies that play off of the idea of alien invasion. Life is perfectly dandy for humankind and then a bunch of aliens come to Earth on their spaceship and catch everyone off guard. Even in some of the movies when they know they will be getting company, there is always the gamble of how things will happen once the aliens arrive. Will it be a good invasion or will their company wreak havoc on everyone who crosses their path? The outcomes vary; sometimes there is complete destruction and sometimes a peaceful outcome is reached enabling the aliens to live amongst humans with no problems.

Well it’s a similar feeling to have new teachers arrive in Korea. Life is going just fine here in Seoul with our little school and little home, and then outsiders arrive. Even though we were aware of their existence and their up and coming arrival it feels like an invasion of sorts. The usual questions come to mind…. Will these aliens be a similar species to us, or will they be cold blooded? Will they live like we live or will they destroy the harmony we have accomplished here? Is this going to be a time of wonderful discovery about others out there in the world like us, or will their abnormal behavior bring mayhem to our planet? Will their spaceship be full of knowledge, excitement and positivity or will it be a vessel of destruction towards those who don’t want to ride in it?

Well, the invasion has begun, and it’s only a matter of time until our fate is sealed. Either way, I’ve got a sassy set of humans that won’t let our lives be challenged by aliens, no matter what form they take.  I hope this will be a peaceful invasion, but I will stand on guard just in case! Humankind will not be waving a white flag anytime soon.
